Our Story

Sweet Ridge Studios is located in the heart of Wheat Ridge Colorado. We offer dynamic and engaging art education in the form of Summer Art Camps, No School Art Camps and After School Art Clubs. Summer and No School Art Camps are held in the studio. After School Art Clubs are held at their specific school site.

LET'S TALK ART! Does your child LOVE to create? So do we! Have them join us to create to their heart’s content. All our programming involves great materials like clay, watercolor paint, papier mache, oil pastels and found objects! We teach skills and vocabulary that support the whole development of your resident artist. Melinda Valentini is the founder and CEO of Sweet Ridge Studios. She is a professional artist and has taught art to students of all ages for 20 years. In our teaching our wonderful team places a large emphasis on experimentation and play in the creative process. When curiosity is positively rewarded lifelong learners are born!

We love Sweet Ridge Studios and Melinda! We have been doing the summer camps and holiday camps for years. My kids always look forward to them. They enjoy the huge variety in planned projects and the opportunity to create freely. I love that she offers full day or half day options and always gets the kids outside. Melinda has the perfect demeanor to work with kids. She is calming and relaxed and at the same time gets excited about each child’s art work. She is so knowledgeable about different mediums and techniques, and it’s amazing how she can pass this knowledge and love of art on to children of all ages and abilities. Sweet Ridge Studios has consistently impressed us, session after session, with the caliber of work tackled, the creativity fostered, how engaged our daughter gets in the new skills, and the keepsakes that result.
