Art Makes Life Sweet!
Join us for these dynamic after school art clubs that encourage your child’s creativity and foster friendships with their peers. Sweet Ridge Studios teaches your child the foundations of art; color, line, shape, and form using engaging mixed media art projects. Our programming is material rich and focuses on play and experimentation in the creative process. Your child will engage in art projects that ignite their imagination like drawing, painting, and sculpting, hone their art skills and be present in a nurturing space that encourages their social emotional development. When they make art students learn to integrate their mind and body and acquire creativity as a tool for problem solving and innovative thinking that is applicable throughout their lifetimes. New projects every quarter/semester.
Teen Art Class
Wednesdays, Starts January 10th, Ends May 22 2024, 3-6pm Attend monthly or for the entire semester
Join us on Wednesdays to experience a wide range of artistic mediums and styles. This art class will explore a different theme each month and allow you to build your artist repertoire of techniques as well as create original, self representational pieces of art.
We’ll be diving deep into colored pencils with Sandra Davis in January.
In February you’ll explore cyanotype and linoleum block printmaking with Dahlia Lopez.
April Mullins specializes in polymer clay sculpting and will teach students to create their own imagined world inside a terrarium in March.
In April you’ll explore realistic painting with the charming Esperanza Lovato.
In May students will learn to knit and crochet with Ms. Meg. This rewarding form of creation is the perfect way to spend your Summer making.
You are welcome to attend monthly or for the entire semester. You may also attend class for the full three hours or any portion of it that suits your schedule. If you have any questions, please reach out. Sign up, invite a friend, come make art.
